The Conference will be held on October 30, at PACK EXPO Press Briefing Room, Room N-427, Level 4, North Building, McCormick Place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Andrey Zagorsky, President of the Russian Packaging Association "Souzupack" will discuss the growth of the industry and supply facts and figures about his members' rapid adoption of new technologies which have transformed the packaging landscape in Russia. No more plain wrappers, one color labels; now package design and production which meet global standards and expectations are the norm.

Mr. Zagorsky will be joined by Mr. Jorge Izquierdo, Vice President, Market Development of the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute will share his impression of the Russian packaging industry following his visit to ROSUPACK 2006 in Moscow this past June. ROSUPAK is the largest and most important exhibition for the packaging industry in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Russia's packaging industry is expected to continue to expand as more affluent consumers demand packages that are in sync with the contents.

To produce these packages, Russian firms rely heavily on imports from countries such as the U.S., Germany and Italy, for example. Packaging professionals rely on keeping up to date on new equipment, new substrates and new technology from abroad. To do that they attend ROSUPAK. This exhibition''s next edition is June 26-29, 2007 in Moscow's Crocus Center, a new exhibition venue which is comparable to those in the U.S., Germany and Italy.

Mr. Andrey Lapshin, President of MVK which is the organizer of ROSUPAK will provide details about the venue, promotion plans and the educational sessions which accompany the show.
